Who we are

I have been lucky enough to have a career that has spanned the length of global food supply chains. Having started as a young volunteer helping small holder farmers in Africa to the corporate world of Tesco head office and a few stops in between. I am a respected leader in food sustainability. I am known for looking to the future and developing practical and ambitious strategies to get there.

I’ve always loved science—especially applying it to solve real-world challenges. My career began in the food industry, where I worked as a Food Safety Specialist and Corporate Microbiologist for JS Sainsbury’s and Mars Inc.

In 2015, I founded Salvus to offer something I felt was missing—food safety consultants who combine deep technical expertise with a practical, real-world approach.

I’m known for taking the time to understand complex problems and translating them into clear, actionable solutions that make a real difference on the ground.

I’m proud to have recently been made a Fellow of the Institute of Food Science and Technology (IFST), recognising my continued commitment to advancing food safety and sustainability in the industry.

We are here to help

You don’t need to carry the technical burden alone. When time and expertise are stretched, we help you move from planning to progress—so you and your team can focus on the bigger picture.

Being accountable for food safety or sustainability is a demanding role, and it often comes without the resources or support you need.

That’s where we come in.
We work with national and global food brands to strengthen and scale food safety and sustainability programmes. Whether it’s filling internal capability gaps, shaping strategy, or executing complex projects—we provide the hands-on support and expert guidance you need to move forward with confidence.
